Testimonials For Somatic Massage CEU Classes

I had an amazing time got healed from some stuck trauma and got an understanding on how to help others. Adrienne you were an excellent teacher. I will be out of town for your next class in June but I will make sure I'm available for the future classes. This work can be done by anyone. You do not have to be a therapist! ~ Susan Mckelligott

It was amazing. I learned so much, and I can't wait to use this knowledge to help myself and others. I look forward to taking the other classes. ~ Layla Loges

Adrienne was very knowledgeable and answered everyone's questions well, even checking to make sure she answered what they were asking. The practice was beyond what I anticipated. I have done somatic therapy before and am familiar with practices in that capacity, but to include somatic work with massage was truly incredible. The person I worked with had a very calming experience where I was able to facilitate some integration. Practicing on myself was also very impactful, and yielded unexpected results in my own person. This type of work is invaluable and I can see it being beneficial to many people. ~ FL LMT

I'm so grateful for practitioner Adrienne making space for me and facilitating for me to participate in my own healing. My nervous system had been in almost a continuous state of stress at home for my own reasons and it was getting more and more unlivable. My only coping was ridiculous amounts of stress reduction through checking out mentally on my phone. She empowered me to progress to a new space that felt more like my authentic self than I have felt in a long time. The scared child inside me manifested during our first five minutes of the session, by twenty minutes I had processed through and was feeling significant relief. It wasn't even scary. I was able to listen and process more information while she collaborated with another person learning this healing modality. The somatic work was so gentle that I came home a better person even today for myself and my family. Most therapy, even if helpful, requires a day of recovery afterwards. I feel hopeful that I can continue on and learn in collaboration with Adrienne and practice this more embodied way of being on my own for my own health and in relationships.

Adrienne explained how these exercises help us practice connection in a safe space until it is our normal way of being. I need that to be my new normal instead of disconnection and what happened to me today is giving me so much hope. It was better to me than 5 of my best experiences with connection through therapy or church services. It was so calm and gentle I left feeling a lot of validation, a lot more personal safety, empowered and hopeful, and also determined to pursue this and make it a regular discipline.  ~ Grace Bloodsworth

My experience was amazing. I am not a massage therapist, but this training helped me to see and experience this work more deeply.  ~ Gainesville Participant

I really enjoyed how much information we were able to get in the eight hours, and I'm interested to zone in on somatic therapy to become more specialized in it. I truly feel like this is a missing therapeutic piece in my massage practice and I really appreciate the environment at the Florida school of massage therapy– very great vibes welcoming people.  ~ Alysaa Dixon, LMT

There was a lot of useful information but my biggest takeaway is how I can assist my own nervous system. ~ Anonymous Participant

Learning about the nervous system has been a fascinating and very rewarding experience that I started about 10 years ago (with Adrienne). Practicing to find where I feel most connected (ie a chair) and naming the support I feel, helps me be present. The connection for me is with the divine. For me having this connection with the divine is a direct line to my Creator,  and has nothing to do with religion. I appreciate that about this work. ~ Anna Rahman, LMT

This workshop by Adrienne was a very profound experience that allowed up to go deep into understanding the Interconnectedness of the nervous system, the intersection of intentional conversation and the massage session to support new mind-body neural connections, the power of purpose and faith in the work we do, and the power of slow & still techniques to create impactful shifts.

I have applied some of my learnings to clients I’ve seen since, and though at times it’s felt risky, in 2-3 cases, these techniques have already created monumental shifts in stubbornly tense areas gently loosening to levels they haven’t previously. I am very grateful to have attended this seminar and to have met Adrienne. And I look forward to more of her live teachings!  ~ Stephanie Voight
